With Spring just around the corner, we know that you’re ready to begin enjoying all of the outdoor living that Redfish Harbor has to offer. With that said, we have a few updates to provide on the amenities area as well as boat slips.
Redfish Harbor Amenities
We continue to make progress on the Redfish Harbor amenities area with an anticipated completion date of mid-May 2022. Once all areas have been constructed, a fence will be installed around the pool area and the pool can begin to be filled with water. As a reminder, the amenities area will consist of a pool, pavilion, bathhouse (8 private restrooms), pickleball court (x2) and bocci ball court.
Redfish Harbor Boat Slips
As previously reported, we submitted our permit package during the Summer of 2021. We received our first set of comments in early February of 2022. The DEP (Florida Department of Environmental Protection) requested additional information in response to our application, which was expected. In follow up, we are undergoing an assessment to determine whether the waterbody meets the State’s flushing requirements (i.e., can it reduce a hypothetical pollutant to within 10% of its initial concentration in a 96-hour period). Additionally, we were asked to provide an overall plan that shows the proposed dock/slip configuration in relation to the width of the navigable portion of waterway. This has been completed and we believe more than adequately showed that the facility meets the 25% width of waterway requirement.
In conjunction with the permitting process, we are working with Dale’s Marine Construction on the specifics related to construction of the boat slips; so that once we receive permit approval, we can hit the ground running. Additionally, Dale’s has provided an estimate for boat lifts, if this is something that you are interested in adding at a later date. Note – when purchasing a boat or a boat lift, you should speak with an expert to determine what your boat slip will accommodate relative to boat size and lift type.
